June 9, 2018 marked a milestone event for ONE CLUB Gulf Shores. Founder Daniel M. Palmier, along with friends and business partners Neill and Johnny Faucett, took to the luxury golf resort community’s greens with one goal: to play a round of 45 holes in one day. Palmier and his group were determined to be the first flight to complete the unprecedented challenge offered by ONE CLUB / Craft Farms’ Arnold Palmer-designed courses.

The partnership gives ONE CLUB residents and guests the exclusive opportunity to play its renovated nine-hole course with Craft Farms’ 36 holes in one swoop.
Team One, Palmier/Faucetts, were up to the task, becoming the first flight to play all 45 holes in a single round. After a long day hitting in the Alabama sun, they were coined as inaugural members of the exclusive “Best 45 Holes in One Day” club. They later dined at Bar 45, One Club’s new bar and restaurant. Their names were the first to be engraved on a plaque hanging prominently in ONE CLUB’s newly upgraded clubhouse, sparking a tradition for residents and the local community.

“Being part of the first flight to play ‘The Best 45 Holes in Golf’ was incredibly meaningful. It deepened my appreciation for the gift we’re able to offer residents,” said Palmier. “Our collaboration with Craft Farms is giving players in Gulf Shores a new way to improve their game on a beautiful and unique terrain. That plaque will be full in no time.”
Over the past two years, Palmier has transformed the previously neglected golf course into a resort-style destination. UC Funds has invested millions of dollars to upgrade and redesign the golf course with its own Amen Corner on the ninth hole, entertaining both amateurs and experienced golfers.
